Christmas dinner celebrants

MVKC Christmas Supper at BlueBerry Hill Bistro in Vankleek Hill, This was our last meeting of 2007 that was held at Pat and Alan Hardisty's Pond in November which was adjourned to the Bistro for a fond farewell of the summer past.

October 3 to 5 ,2008 Moad Mountain Enterprise Koi and Pond Equipment attending Cornwall 2008 Fall Home and Harvest Show.

October 23 to 26, 2008 . Koi Pond Harvest, " Quality Koi " Nisei Koi Farm, Pennsgrove, New Jersey.

Club Affiliation: Mountain View Koi Club will be joining the AKCA ( Associated Koi Clubs Of America) in July for the year of 2008-2009.

This offers many more opportunities for further indolent in koi club activities.

In a deep pond, a school of Koi grows into a frenzy at feeding time, swirling wildly when they see the friendly hand of the keeper. This scene has become very common in ponds all over North America, as more and more Koi lovers acquire rare and colourful carp to exhibit in their homes. This water colour painting is part of Iriarte's unique acrylic collection in Pointe-Fortune, Quebec, Canada. Finding the right medium to express one's self is very important, Iriarte says. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, her ethnic background influences her bright, bold style and her large canvases with primary, violent colours, with well defined, life -like images, make the Koi move as if they were alive.
